Our Impact-

At The Pursue Foundation, every dollar you donate helps us drive meaningful change through three core programs:

Freshman Sendoff- Freshman Sendoff is a program that provides dorm and school supplies to students who are the first in their families to attend college. Since 2017, we have provided assistance to over 100 students. We understand that starting college can be an overwhelming experience, especially if you don't have the resources you need to succeed. That's why we provide a range of essential supplies, from bedding and towels to school supplies like notebooks and pens. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to succeed in college, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

 'Freshman Sendoff' to Support Another Crop of D.C. High School Graduates - The Washington Informer 

Flourish Forward- Through a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, our Flourish Forward life-coaching program empowers community members to rise above barriers and pursue their dreams with renewed strength. Our International Coaching Federation trained coaches partner with community members in supportive, non-judgemental spaces to build resilience, and confidence. For individuals like Maria, a single mother and entrepreneur,  Flourish Forward aids her in to developing the tools to balance work, family, and personal growth.

Dignity Boutique- The United States sends 21 billion pounds of clothing to landfills annually. We decrease textile waste by collecting clothing to  and accessories to individuals who are experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, or returning to work.  Our boutique provides women with affordable, high-quality clothing in a dignified environment. From career attire to everyday essentials, we boost confidence and self-esteem for women pursuing their dreams.  

Coats for the Culture-  We believe that everyone deserves to be warm and comfortable during the cold winter months. Our program offers a range of sizes and styles, from parkas to puffer jackets, distributed at an annual event to ensure that individuals can find a coat that meets their needs.  

At our organization, we strongly believe that collaboration is key to achieving meaningful impact in our community.  Through opportunities to serve with organizations like Martha's Table, Spur Local, Saving Our Youth, FixPat, DC Mutual Aid Network, Check It Enterprises,  and Studio Muze, we advocate for issues vital to our community, including , joblessness, and financial literacy. Together, we amplify our impact, combining diverse perspectives and expertise to address these challenges. We’re proud to collaborate with such dedicated partners to build a stronger, more resilient community that supports and uplifts all its members.
